Kirby Grindalythe mosaic
The village of Kirby Grindalythe sits in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, just north of Sledmere. The Victorian parish church of St Andrews features fabulous mosaics that cover the entire west wall from floor to ceiling. The mosaics date to 1893 and are designed to resemble a mural. The effect is quite staggering and well worth a trip to see.
